We all carry something with us. Of course, it's nice if we travel with someone who can help lighten the load. But usually, it's easier to just drop what we've been carrying so we can get home that much sooner assuming, of course, there will be someone there to greet us when we arrive. Why do we clutch at this baggage, even when we're desperate to move on? Because we all know there's a chance we might let go too soon.
And so now and then, we all need a little help, so we ask for small favors. But it's always best to be wary of those eager to come to our rescue. Because even the smallest of favors carries a price tag. Yes, everyone has an agenda. No matter what they may tell us. And in those rare instances where there is no ulterior motive we're so taken aback that we may fail to recognize the truth that a loving friend has just done us an enormous favor.

They asked me why I believed in you
Everyone in the world needs someone they can depend on. Be they faithful chums, determined advocates or a loving family. But occasionally in life, the people we thought would always be there for us... leave. And if that happens, it's amazing the lenths we'll go to, to get them back.
Control. It's extraordinary the tactics people employ to obtain it. some rely on deception. While others engage in outright trickery. Than there are those who resort to extortion. Why do we fight so hard for control? The reason is simple, almost precariously innocent, because we know to lose it is to put our fate in the hands of others. And what could be more dangerous?
That leads us to competition. Unavoidable and totally head-on. However, it means different things to different people. But whether it's a friendly rivalry.. or a fight to the finish.. the end result is still the same. There will be winners... with that comes losers. Of course, the trick is to know which battles to fight, when to pull your moral foot up. You see, no victory comes without a price.

rush of adrenaline
THE FIRST SOLAR ECLIPSE IN 350 YEARS, this natural but somewhat magical phenomenon occured from 7-10.30am this morning! I know it's silly of me to think of it magical to the extend of calling it enchanting for kids our age, (oh dear) but silly as it sounds its precisely these little surprises outer-space brought to earth which lit up my entire morning! So, I admit i'm an andrenaline junky to boot, but hey, bleak as it sounds, how many decades do we have to let something like that slip by? It's almost certain, (stamp plus chop) that I dont have another 350 years ahead of me to wait for one of these little surprises to come around here again.
Pressing on, I mumbly decided to sneak out this morning to try and catch a glimpse(maybe not) or just to be in the moment when the eclipse is occuring. Yup, maybe not get the slightest glimpse of it since it'll possibly damage my eyes for life, I headed out to the beach armed with my spanking new sunglasses (purchased just for the saek of the moment) and await for the melancholic adrenaline to kick in.

Fire & Ice
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perih twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice
